Elemart Robion, VB03 NV

Elemart Robion was founded in 1879 and now into its fourth generation of family ownership. Ran by 3 siblings, they estate is located at the foot of the Romanesque church of the village of Lhéry - just to the west of Reims. They are a fully organic Champagne house and one of our favourite growers. VB03 NV is made from a blend of 70% Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Such a moreish wine, it has a nose of baked apple, peach, almond, brioche and lemon. The palate is rich and enveloping, with a creamy mousse and crisp, refreshing acidity. A great wine to enjoy as an aperitif but would also stand up to pork dishes.
